About NameChase

Catching a dropping .uk domain has meant stitching together raw lists and spreadsheets. NameChase turns Nominet’s daily drop list into something you can actually browse: fast filtering, live countdowns, a watchlist, and saved searches.

It’s built for people who track the .uk namespace — investors, brand owners, and the merely curious. It is a viewer only: it never registers, orders, or backorders anything.

How it works

  1. Each day, Nominet publishes the list of names due to drop and when.
  2. NameChase ingests it, works out the derived facts (length, hyphens, digits, dictionary words, TLD variant) and stores those — not the raw registry record.
  3. You browse and filter. Signed in, you can star names onto a watchlist and save filter sets to reopen later.
  4. When a name’s drop time passes it leaves the public view. What happens next is between you and your registrar.

FAQ

Where does the data come from?

Nominet publishes a daily list of .uk domains scheduled to drop. NameChase ingests that list and derives the fields you filter on. It does not include registrant details.

How often does it update?

Once a day, when Nominet regenerates the list. A domain shows up as soon as it appears on the list and disappears from public view shortly after its drop time passes.

Does a domain on the list definitely drop?

Usually, but not always — a registration can still be renewed at the last minute, which cancels the drop. Treat the list as a strong signal, not a guarantee.

Can NameChase register a domain for me?

No. It's a viewer. When a name drops you register it through a registrar like anyone else. NameChase has no ordering, backordering, or catching capability.

Why do I need to sign in to see further ahead?

Anyone can see the next day of drops. Signing in is free and widens the window; higher tiers (granted on request during the beta) widen it further. See pricing for the ladder.

What do you store about me?

Your email, your tier, and anything you create in the app — your watchlist and saved searches. Nothing else. See the privacy page for detail.
