Terms of Use

1. About these terms

NameChase (“the service”) is a viewer for the .uk domain drop list, currently in private beta, operated by AlmostAnEngineer Ltd (“we”, “us”). By using the service you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use it.

• AlmostAnEngineer Ltd — registered in England and Wales, company no. 17280331
• Registered office: 17A The Avenue, Newton Abbot, TQ12 2BZ
• VAT registration no. GB 522 5464 06

2. Service provided as-is

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, and is still in beta. Features may change or break, and the service may be unavailable at any time without notice.

3. The data is informational

Drop-list data is derived from information published by Nominet. A domain appearing in the service is not a guarantee that it will drop, when it will drop, or that it will be available to you — registrations can be renewed at the last moment, and registrar timing varies. Do not rely on the service as the sole basis for any purchase, bid, or business decision. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Nominet.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• scrape, bulk-download, or place automated load on the service beyond normal interactive use, or attempt to circumvent rate limits;
• redistribute, resell, or provide a competing feed derived from the service’s data;
• use the service in breach of Nominet’s terms or any applicable law;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, other accounts, or its infrastructure.

5. Accounts

You must be able to form a binding contract to hold an account. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or remove an account at our discretion, in particular for breach of these terms.

6. Intellectual property

The service’s software, design, and presentation are ours. Underlying registry data remains subject to Nominet’s rights and terms. These terms grant you no rights in either beyond using the service as intended.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service — including missed drops, failed registrations, or reliance on its data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be noted by updating the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
